McMaster Gallery
McMaster Gallery is the university’s community and public facing art gallery. McMaster Gallery is dedicated to elevating design, visual, media, and performance arts on campus. The gallery hosts rotating exhibitions and programming that examine cultural and social contexts, challenge contemporary perceptions of art making, and provide a framework for intellectual and creative inquiry. The gallery is free and open to the public Monday - Friday, from 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. The gallery is closed on weekends and all university holidays.
Passage Gallery
The Passage Gallery is a student exhibition space in the School of Visual Art & Design. The gallery is student-led and overseen by a volunteer faculty member. It hosts a full schedule of exhibitions each semester, including independently curated solo and group exhibitions and exhibitions of art works created by students enrolled in Studio Art and Design courses. Students are encouraged to experiment with exhibition design and installation, and to use the Passage Gallery as a laboratory for developing new ideas.
SVAD Studio at Stormwater Studios
The SVAD Studio is where bright thoughts and ideas are communicated to students and visitors during workshops, exhibitions, and talks. Through the SVAD Studio, we host student programming and exhibitions, and an Artist Residency Program to give participants the necessary space to pursue new concepts and designs. The SVAD Studio connects our students and visitors to the professional artists who work in the 10 other studios.
