Campus communicators are pulled in a lot of different directions, and we are here to help. Led by Communications and Marketing professionals, these training sessions are designed as continuing education to help you grow in your university communications position.

BRAND OVERVIEW 

A two-hour course that will introduce you to the university's brand platform, visual identity, our brand voice, and how we communicate on our digital and social presence.

EVENT CALENDAR | 25 LIVE

You’ll learn from our experts how to use the centralized university calendar to reserve space and promote events to various calendars on the university’s website.

EDITORIAL and AP STYLE

Is it advisor or adviser? Healthcare or health care? Find out at our Editorial Style (AP Style) training where you will receive an overview the official writing style for the university, address brand nomenclature and AP Style.

MEDIA 101

Speaking with media can be intimidating, but this media training will give tips on how to be more confident when dealing with journalists and share ways to be more effective at communicating your message.

INTERVIEWING

Writing a university story but nervous about the interview? Don’t know what to ask or how to ask it? Learn how to get the information and quotes you need to bring your story to life.

ONGOING TRAINING

Web training: University websites allow individual units to create and manage their content. Approved users are granted access to the content management system after successful completion of the self-paced Blackboard training course and activities.
