Join Faculty Director Dr. Armen Shaomian and Program Lead McKenzie Ouzts in Mexico City to learn about the world of live entertainment. 

 

About the Trip

Required course

Students wishing to participate in this trip will be required to enroll in SPTE570 in the Spring semester. This course and trip are open to students from all majors.

Estimated cost

Student fees are estimated to be $2,750* plus airfare (in-state tuition discount for this course) and applicable fees.

Fees Include:

  • Private ground transportation throughout the trip
  • 4-star hotel experience (double occupancy)
  • Deluxe buffet breakfast daily, two group lunches, a group dinner
  • Tickets to all performances, sport events, and tours and lectures

What we will be doing?

The course and the trip are focused on live entertainment, so we will be touring entertainment venues, meeting with venue staff, and experiencing shows including Lucha Libre (wrestling) and traditional Mexican dance. We will also have a chance to visit cultural and heritage sites throughout Mexico City.

 

Funding Opportunities

Preston Travel Grant

This funding source is open to all current Preston resident studying abroad through a USC-approved program. Applications are available in the Fall semester.

Preston Research Grant (Magellan Explorer)
