Claim your student account. Setup DUO Mobile(multifactor authentication) on your phone. Check sc.edu> Student > Student Profile for any holds. Any hold will delay enrollment into classes.

Schedule your advising appointment
- Log in to sc.edu
- Click Student tab and then Student Profile tab
- Find and click on your academic advisor’s name under Advisors
- Send your academic advisor an email to schedule an advising appointment

Prepare for your advising appointment
Register for and complete the Math Placement Test (MAP) and the Foreign Language Placement Test.
If you are a fully online student, please register for the foreign language test online through Columbia.
If you plan to have a guest join your advising session, complete the FERPA Form.
Explore your financial aid options
Begin the financial aid process by completing your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA).
Be sure to add USC Lancaster’s school code, 003426.
Please note: Students starting in the Fall 2024 semester must complete the 2024-25 application.
Pay your bill
You can view your bill on your Self Service Carolina account. Visit the USC Bursar website for payment deadlines and other details.
As a USCL student, you are automatically included in the First Day Complete Program. Once you register, your course list will be sent to the campus bookstore.
Parking permit and Carolina Card (online optional)
Parking decals are to be displayed on vehicles of all students, faculty, and staff. Complete a request form and bring it to the Law Enforcement and Security Office located in Facilities Management.
Your student/faculty/staff CarolinaCard is your permanent USC ID card. All IDs are made in the Law Enforcement and Security.
