If you have questions that aren’t answered in the pages linked below, please email SBHConference@sc.edu.
A 6% administrative fee will be charged for registration cancellations up to April 4, 2027. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after April 4, 2027.
We hope you’ll register by the Friday before the conference, even if you wait to pay until arrival. But if you show up on-site, we won’t turn you away!
Attendees who have not paid prior to conference arrival will be asked to complete payment on-site before attending sessions.
Yes. We accept credit card, check, and ACH. If you require an invoice for a single registration, proceed through online registration and request an invoice via the “Payment Information” section. If you would like to register multiple individuals at once, please use the “Group” registration form. Contact confs@mailbox.sc.edu or call 803-777-9444 with any questions.
We make every effort to meet the unique needs of our attendees. Please include any reasonable accommodation requests on the registration form. We’ll follow up with you if needed.
Early Bird registration (available until mid-January) saves you money and helps us plan the number of sessions and materials more accurately.
We’ve negotiated discounted rates at clean, safe, and convenient hotels. Booking helps us fulfill our agreement to fill at least 70% of the reserved rooms, which helps us avoid penalties and control costs. Attendees can find cheaper lodging outside of downtown, but will then incur the cost of parking and/or rideshare.
Your registration includes:
- All plenary and breakout sessions
- Wednesday afternoon snack, Thursday breakfast, and Friday breakfast and lunch
- Thursday evening poster session and reception (heavy hors d’oeuvres and cash bar)
- Certificate of attendance and CE/Contact Hours (if requested; emailed after the conference)
- Conference swag bag
Most attendees wear business casual attire. On Friday, many choose a more relaxed attire (eg, jeans).
The Hyatt Regency Greenville offers valet parking. There are also two nearby city-operated garages:
- Commons Garage – 60 Beattie Place
- Richardson Street Garage – 66 Richardson Street ($7/day)
Overflow hotels are all within 5-6 blocks. Downtown Greenville is walkable, safe, and vibrant. We suggest attendees staying at overflow hotels walk to the conference each day to avoid paying for parking twice.
Absolutely! Download the Whova app before arriving. Watch your email for details on how to log in and access event materials.
All session information will be in the Whova app and conference program, which will be released shortly before the event.
No. Sessions are first-come, first-served. Arrive early to secure a seat for popular breakouts and help fill in all seats to make space for others. Adding sessions to your conference agenda in the Whova app might help you stay organized throughout the event, but does not guarantee you a seat.
The 2027 SSBHC will be in-person only. Unfortunately, the cost of production (including AV support and online platforms) has significantly exceeded the registration fees paid by virtual attendees for the past five years. We don't think it's fair to charge virtual attendees as much as in-person when we can only offer a limited selection of sessions, so we have decided to host in-person only.
