Background
Professor Larkin researches international law and the global economy. His current research examines the origins of the contemporary international arbitration regime, as well as the evolution of the global regulation of money and finance. He has published several articles on investment treaty arbitration.
Prior to joining the South Carolina faculty, Professor Larkin taught Lawyering at New York University School of Law. Before that he practiced law at Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP, representing foreign sovereigns in investment treaty arbitrations and litigations. There, he also maintained an active pro bono practice involving immigration, Guantanamo, and equal protection matters.
Professor Larkin clerked for the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
