Background

Armani Morris is the Statistical and Research Analyst at the Children's Law Center, University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law. She assists with data and research, project evaluation, and stakeholder outreach for the Center and the Joint Citizens and Legislative Committee on Children. With her master's degree in educational psychology and research and relevant consulting experience, Armani has participated in a number of multidisciplinary projects that combine education and social justice throughout her academic and professional career. Some of these projects have included evaluating professional development courses for elementary school teachers, connecting planetary scientists with children from underrepresented communities, and collecting preliminary data for a research consortium centered around the wellbeing of children and young adults impacted by parental incarceration. Armani's main research goal is to contribute to the efforts of South Carolina's child-serving agencies to ensure that the state's children can thrive in safety, opportunity, and abundance.
