The School of Medicine celebrated a time-honored tradition on Wednesday, Dec. 17, with a “topping out” ceremony at the new facility.

This cutting-edge campus will feature modern classrooms, advanced clinical simulation spaces, an ultrasound lab, and a café. Additionally, a green quadrangle space will provide an ideal environment for outdoor study and events, enhancing the educational experience for students, faculty, and staff.

The University of South Carolina broke ground on a facility that will redefine the future of health care education and research during a ceremony on Tuesday, Feb. 25, at the site of its new School of Medicine.
Board of Trustees approves first designs, renderings for School of Medicine building
The university released its first official renderings Tuesday (Dec. 19) of the state-of-the art building designed to anchor future health research. USC’s Board of Trustees approved the design of the new School of Medicine building and reviewed new renderings of the outside of the building.
