Background

Blake Holman is an assistant professor in the School of Accounting at the Darla Moore School of Business. He joined the faculty of the University of South Carolina in the fall of 2025 after spending two years at the University of Central Florida. Prior to employment, Blake received his B.S. and MACC from Trinity University and his Ph.D. from the University of Kentucky.

Blake’s teaching interests and experience include both introductory financial and managerial accounting and upper-level cost accounting. His research draws upon psychology theory to conduct experiments aimed at gathering a better understanding of the judgments and behaviors of auditors surrounding important audit issues.
