Research and Teaching Interests
Dr. Herring is a social scientist whose research examines how public policies and social factors shape access to health care and health outcomes. His current work includes projects focused on Medicaid access to care, behavioral health, immigration policy and health, HIV, and health workforce policy. He also has teaching experience in health policy, macroeconomics, and microeconomics.
