Background

Andrea Pack joined the College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management in November 2025 as the executive operations manager, bringing more than 20 years of administrative experience in higher education. She provides high-level operational and strategic support to the dean and senior leadership, overseeing calendar management, financial processes and the confidential coordination of the faculty tenure and promotion cycle. Pack also supervises the client relations coordinator and ensures the daily professional functioning of the dean’s suite.

Pack plays a central role in college-wide event strategy by reviewing and approving all HRSM events, supporting hosts across departments and coordinating activities such as conferences, career fairs and speaker series. She leads the execution of major signature events including HRSM Awards Day, managing logistics, vendor negotiations and on-site operations. Her work ensures that events are strategically scheduled, inclusive of key stakeholders and aligned with college priorities.

Before joining HRSM, Pack served as executive assistant to the associate vice president, dean of students and deputy Title IX director at the University of South Carolina, where she also managed the SEED team and the Carolina Cares Emergency Fund. She previously built a strong administrative foundation at The Ohio State University.

Originally from Ohio, Pack earned a bachelor’s degree in history with a minor in women’s studies from The Ohio State University and is an avid traveler who has visited 16 countries and 21 U.S. National Parks.
