Background
Chris Halsne worked at American University in D.C. as investigative broadcaster in residence and director for the Journalism and Digital Storytelling MA program. He has been on television for over 30 years, managing special projects units in Seattle and Denver. Also a documentary filmmaker, fiction author, screenwriter and podcast creator, he takes a multi-media approach to every news idea.

Teaching
Halsne's teaching philosophy is to show aspiring journalists how to succeed in a newsroom. He focuses on tools, methods and skills used every day by professional journalists to beat the competition, while becoming an invaluable asset to the newsroom.
